How often do you get to disagree with someone one-on-one?

Disagreeing with someone on the internet tends to get caught in the echo chamber of hearing the opinions of people we already agree with.

Disagreeing with someone in a group setting tends towards posturing and trying to save face.

Disagreeing in person, one on one, can help you build trust and give time to clarify and listen. When each of you feels heard and when neither of you feels pressured to change, both of you can comfortably examine your own views from a different perspective.
